The more time together, the more your cat becomes your own

NekoLife is an animated cat sticker for the skin or clothing of your VRChat avatar. Welcome a little cat to a favorite spot: your chest, sleeve, arm, hand, or face.

Walking, sleeping, and sometimes asking for affection. Ordinary moments become everyday life with a cat.

The features introduced here describe the paid edition. The free edition includes a selection of poses and relaxing with a visiting cat. Petting reactions, growing personalities, and the wider range of actions are part of the paid edition. The existing free edition is currently provided in Japanese; this English package is the paid edition.

Eight personalities that grow with you

Move around, chat, pet your cat, or settle down for a rest. The way you spend time together gradually appears in your cat's personality and gestures.

Around every sixty minutes, time spent together contributes to its growth. Which cat it becomes is part of the fun. Growth pauses while AFK or while the cat is off, and timing can vary with avatar update conditions.

Each personality has its own gestures. Discover little moments that feel like your cat.

Pet your cat and get hearts in return

Rest a hand on the sticker and your cat may narrow its eyes, lift its chin, or roll over.

Both your hands and your friends' hands can interact with it. If you place your cat on a hand or finger, try petting it with the opposite hand.

Sometimes your cat moves with you

Your cat may react to your jumps and movement, or simply relax. Its personality and gestures may change with your life together, but it still follows its own feline moods.

Enjoy everyday life with a cat that does not always give the same response.

A friend's cat comes to visit

Spend time near another NekoLife user and a friend's cat comes to visit.

Sleeping, walking, playing together. Enjoy gestures unique to a pair, including animations influenced by the visiting cat's personality. Your cat can also interact with cats from the free edition.

Visits happen at the cats' own pace and may take around ten minutes to an hour.

On your clothing. On your skin. Even on your face.

In Unity's Scene view, click the place on the skin or clothing where you want your cat. Adjust its position, rotation, and size, then choose from 48 cat colors and adjust the line thickness and glow.

The free edition uses the same placement and appearance-adjustment steps. Modular Avatar is supported.

Choose a relatively flat area and start with a small sticker. Easy mode fits a valid skinned surface; Manual mode lets you choose a follow target and position the cat yourself. Facial blendshape changes do not deform the sticker.

Requirements

• Your avatar's Unity project for PC VRChat.
• Modular Avatar — official English setup guide
• The VRChat Avatars SDK for uploading the avatar.

Quest standalone is not supported. Avatar bases, clothing, and photography worlds are not included.

Synchronized parameter usage:

• Paid edition: 7 parameters / 42 bits.
• Free edition: 6 parameters / 27 bits.

Installation

Download and import the unitypackage into Unity. If you use Download All and receive a ZIP, extract it first. Add NekoLife.prefab directly under your avatar. In this English edition, it is in Assets → NekoLifeEN → Prefabs. The existing Japanese free edition uses NekoLifeFree.prefab.

Choose where to place the cat, adjust its appearance, then upload your avatar to VRChat. See the included English guide for detailed instructions.

Before you buy

• Petting and visits require permission in VRChat's Avatar Interactions settings.
• The shape of the surface may distort the artwork or leave some edges floating. Choose a relatively flat area and start small.
• The sticker follows the bones of clothing or the body. It does not automatically refit to every later shape change or cloth simulation.
• Chatty expressions use mouth movements and gestures. No meowing audio is included.
