Descripción del producto

Shape Key Mixer is a Unity editor extension that mixes your avatar's shape keys at any amount (-200% to 200%) and makes the mix a new shape key. Split a key into left only (_L) and right only (_R) to turn a blink into a one-eye wink, make a key stronger than 100%, or combine several expressions into one key. Your original mesh (FBX) is not changed: a copy with the new keys is swapped in, and the "Go back to the original mesh" button (or Ctrl+Z right after) puts the original back. The keys you make work like any other shape key, for example in your expression animations. The window can switch between English and Japanese.

No avatar models are included (tool only).

Free vs Full

  • Free trial: mix keys and preview the result in the Scene view.
  • Full: everything in the Free trial, plus making the mix a new shape key (including keys above 100% and negative keys) and splitting a key into left and right.

Try the Free trial on your own avatar first. Importing the Full version over the Free trial replaces it.

Carefully tested before release

Made by Kotokoto Lab, an independent creator. This version was tested on 3 free avatars with face shape keys (53, 262 and 446 keys). Mixed keys moved exactly by the set amounts, a split key moved only one side and the two halves added up to the original key, and the original mesh could be put back. After the upload-time processing, the new keys stayed on the 2 avatars that do not use Avatar Optimizer's automatic optimization. With automatic optimization, keys that are not used in animations and have a weight of 0 were removed (this is normal Avatar Optimizer behavior).

Notes

If a key has in-between frames, the last frame's shape is used. Left and right are split at the center of the avatar. The copy of the mesh is made in Assets/KotokotoLab_Generated/ShapeKeyMixer; press "Go back to the original mesh" before deleting that folder. Check each avatar's terms on whether adding shape keys is allowed.

Requirements

Unity 2022.3 (tested on 2022.3.22f1), a Skinned Mesh Renderer with shape keys.

How to install

  1. Download the .unitypackage (Free trial or Full) and drag it into the Project window, then click Import.
