Candles & Lanterns is a ready-to-use prop pack for VRChat world creators.
Every candle and lantern is its own prefab: drag it into your scene, and it glows.
The props need no setup, no scripts and no baking to look good
FULLY QUEST COMPATIBLE
Everything in this pack runs on Quest / Android as well as PC. All materials
use custom mobile-friendly shaders: single pass, no grab pass, no
geometry. Every lantern is a light ~1.4k-triangle mesh.
(The showcase scene's post-processing bloom is PC-only, like in every VRChat
world. The props themselves look the same on both.)
CANDLES
• Wax Candles in 3 heights (Tall / Medium / Short)
• 7 wax colours: Cream, White, Black, Red, Pink, Blue, Green (21 prefabs)
• 3 sculpted Drip Candles with melted wax and a real point light
• Wax Candle Cluster, ready to place on tables, shelves and altars
• Animated shader flame that flickers and sways (no particles needed)
• Soft "glow pool" decal that lights the surface around each candle
• Optional flame particle FX prefab
PAPER LANTERNS
• 6 hanging lantern shapes: Round, Oval, Cylinder, Gourd, Lotus, Pumpkin
• 4 floor lantern shapes: Round, Oval, Gourd, Andon
• 9 colours each: White, Gold, Orange, Red, Pink, Purple, Blue, Cyan, Green
270 individual lantern prefabs (90 shape/colour combos × 3 paper styles)
• Custom Lantern Glow shader: light shines through the paper, with visible
ribs, a warm inner core, adjustable flame height, flicker and optional sway
• 3 paper styles, 27 ready-made materials (9 colours × 3):
– Seigaiha: traditional overlapping-wave scale print
– Flowing Waves: rolling wave crests with spiral curls and foam
– Plain: soft washi paper with just the bamboo ribs
• "Pattern Strength" slider fades any print from bold to subtle
and a "Plain Paper" toggle switches to plain paper
• Adjustable cord length on hanging lanterns ("Shorter Cord" blend shape)
EXTRAS
• Moroccan Floor Lantern with a pierced-metal star pattern
(custom Lantern Metal shader with cut-out shadows)
• 6 pre-arranged clusters: Hanging Warm / Pastel / Festival,
Floor Warm / Cool / Moroccan
• Night Sky skybox shader: gradient sky with twinkling stars, fully adjustable
• Full showcase scene with post-processing profile
BUILT FOR VRCHAT
• Glow comes from emission, so it looks great even with zero real-time lights
• The Orange lantern and Drip Candle prefabs include a point light you can keep,
bake or remove
• Every colour is a Prefab Variant: change the base once and all colours update
• Lantern shaders include Meta passes, so their glow bakes into your lightmaps
• Neatly organised: Prefabs / Materials / Models / Shaders / Textures
