Galaxy Bubble Umbrella — Spinning Galaxy Dome for VRChat
Etiquetas
Descripción del producto
Este producto contiene contenido generado por IA.
▶ Not a printed umbrella: a clear bubble dome with a 3D galaxy floating inside it that never stops turning. (Our Star Rain Umbrella is a navy cloth canopy with printed gold stars - this one you see straight through.)
▶ VRChat avatar accessory · needs Modular Avatar and lilToon (both free, from VCC) · drag-and-drop prefab · Quest prefab included
Hold it in your right hand. Inside the clear dome a spiral galaxy floats around the shaft and turns all the time, open or closed. Open it from the menu: the ribs swing out one after another in a spiral, bloom up like petals, then settle into the round dome with a small overshoot - and once it is fully open, star dust starts falling from the rim like rain.
ALWAYS MOVING (no menu)
• The galaxy turns once every 40 s, open or closed (PC and Quest - an animator loop, no extra parameter)
• The tiny stars on the film twinkle (PC)
THE MENU (Expressions menu "Galaxy Umbrella" · everything remembered)
• Show: on / off
• Open: open / closed (starts open). Opening takes 0.83 s: closed → spiral → petal bloom → half-open → a small overshoot → open. Closing takes 0.6 s (the petals fold up, then wrap down)
• Star Rain: on / off (PC prefab). It starts once the dome is fully open and stops when you close it
• Colour: Milky Way Blue / Rose Nebula / Aurora Galaxy
• Size: a radial from 0.6x to 1.4x
STAR RAIN (PC prefab)
• 1 particle system: falls from the rim in 16 streams
• 150 particles a second, each lasting 2.1 s, at most 280 at once (266 in the air after 3 s, the lowest about 0.26 m below the rim, measured in Unity) The rain takes the colour too: blue-white, peach-gold or mint-violet.
3 COLOURS (all in one prefab, switched from the menu)
• Milky Way Blue: blue arms, a white core
• Rose Nebula: rose arms, peach-gold light
• Aurora Galaxy: a mint core running into violet arms
SIZE
At 1x: open 72.2 cm wide and 95.7 cm long (pin to the end of the hook); closed 19.9 cm wide
PC AND QUEST
• DU_GalaxyBubbleUmbrella (PC): the galaxy turns, open / close, star rain, twinkle, 3 colours, size
• DU_GalaxyBubbleUmbrella_Quest (Quest): the galaxy turns, open / close, 3 colours, size. No star rain and no twinkle. one material (VRChat/Mobile/Particles/Additive): the clear film, the galaxy and the frame all glow; the frame is a glowing silver-white line instead of solid metal
• The dome is drawn with added light (it is see-through): it looks best at night and in darker worlds
WHAT YOU GET
• DU_1.0.0.unitypackage: 2 prefabs (PC and Quest), 3 colour materials (lilToon), 3 Quest materials, textures, menu, animator
• README in English and Japanese
PERFORMANCE (this item alone, measured in Unity)
• 4,640 triangles · 1 skinned mesh · materials: PC 2 (+1 for the star dust) / Quest 1 · 2 bones · 5 blend shapes · no PhysBones
• 1 constraint (VRC Parent Constraint) · no lights, contacts or parameter drivers
• Synced: PC 19 bits · Quest 18 bits
• VRChat SDK performance rank: PC prefab PC Good (particle system count Good, particle total Good, everything else Excellent) · Quest prefab Quest Excellent (every item Excellent)
GOOD TO KNOW
• Needs Modular Avatar and lilToon (both free, from the VRChat Creator Companion).
• The grip is set for the VRChat SDK sample avatar. If it sits wrong on yours, select Seats > DU_Seat_Hand > Seat and move or rotate it once.
• On a Quest avatar, use DU_GalaxyBubbleUmbrella_Quest (the PC prefab with Quest materials is Quest VeryPoor because of the particles).
SUPPORT
The galaxy spin, the grip angle, the opening and closing motion, the twinkle, the star rain or anything else not working as described in VRChat? Message me on Jinxxy and I'll fix it and send you the update for free.

AI DISCLOSURE (AI-Assisted)
The code that builds this umbrella (model, textures, Unity setup) and the text on this page were written with help from an AI assistant. An AI image generator made rough concept sketches I looked at while designing; nothing it made is in the files or in the preview images, which are rendered in Unity from the actual prefab.
