Arcade cabinets your visitors walk up to and play. Three neon games in one cabinet: play alone, in versus rooms where what you do lands on your rivals' screens, or all together in DEFENSE. A spectator wall over the cabinets shows every player live. Drop the prefab in your world: no UdonSharp knowledge needed.
THREE GAMES IN ONE CABINET
- CLASSIC: an 11 x 5 alien formation marches down. Mothership, shield rocks that chip, combo multiplier (x2/x3/x4), power-ups (LASER, WIDE, BOMB)
- METEORS: turn, thrust with inertia and fire. Rocks break big > medium > small, the field wraps at the edges, a saucer shoots back
- DEFENSE: a big ship in the middle, a turret on its hull, aliens coming from every side in waves
VERSUS ROOMS
- From MULTIPLAYER, create a room or join one
- Up to 8 players per room and up to 4 rooms at once
- The host picks the game and the mode, and starts once 2 or more are ready
- Everybody in a match gets the same enemy fire and motherships (shared seed)
- Every rival's screen is on yours, live, in their seat colour
- Modes: Survival (3 lives) · Score attack (2/3 min) · Wave race (3/5 waves) · Elimination (every 30 s the lowest score is out). DEFENSE adds Co-op and Boss
ATTACKS
- CLASSIC: PUSH (their formation comes down a step) · RUSH (double speed for 5 s) · EXTRA (two-hit aliens)
- METEORS: ROCK (a big rock comes in at their edge) · STORM (their rocks run 1.6x faster for 5 s) · UFO (a small sharp saucer on their field)
- DEFENSE: SWARM (4 drones) · TANK (a tank) · JAM (their turret turns at half speed for 5 s)
No attack ends a game on its own.
CO-OP DEFENSE AND ENDLESS
- The whole room defends one ship, one turret each, sharing the circle (shared again when someone leaves)
- Everybody wins or loses together: hold 5 or 10 waves, or go endless
- ENDLESS: the waves keep growing until the ship falls, sized to how many play; every 5th wave is a breather to repair
- Your best wave is saved for each group size ("WAVE 13 · 4 PLAYERS")
BOSS: SAVE THE EARTH
- The room defends the Earth from a giant mothership, each player with a cannon on a bunker
- Volleys of escorts and bombs; it gets faster and fiercer in three phases
- Everybody's hits add up on its life bar (its core takes triple)
- Take it down to unlock the next of five levels (MOTHERSHIP I to V, saved per player)
SPECTATOR WALL
The busiest room for everybody around: title, clock, places, every player's screen and score. Logo and invitation when nobody plays.
JAPANESE / ENGLISH
Menus, lobby, results, notices and the wall. It follows the VRChat language and can be changed in the menu.
SAVED PER PLAYER (VRChat Persistence)
Single player bests of each game, the ENDLESS best for each group size, the BOSS levels unlocked, sound and language.
SETUP
- Drop the "Nova Swarm" prefab in your scene (4 cabinets, the spectator wall and the rooms)
- Add more cabinets and they connect by themselves (up to 8 play in the rooms)
- Demo scene and README in English and Japanese included
REQUIREMENTS
- Unity 2022.3.22f1 (VRChat Creator Companion)
- VRChat SDK Worlds, tested with 3.10.5 (UdonSharp included)
- TextMeshPro Essential Resources
- Platform: PC
- Co-op, Endless and Boss use the network: test them with at least 2 clients before you rely on them
WHAT'S IN THE PACKAGE
A .unitypackage with the Nova Swarm prefab, the cabinet prefab, a demo scene, full UdonSharp source, model, textures, shaders, fonts (OFL) and sounds, plus README (EN/JA), LICENSE and CHANGELOG.
LICENSE
- Use in unlimited VRChat worlds, personal and commercial. You may modify it for your own worlds.
- Redistributing, sharing or reselling the files is not allowed.

- The bundled fonts are under the SIL Open Font License (license texts included).
